Loba Coffee Premium Blend No.5 – Mystery of Gondwana

Silence. The world was still. Nothing moved not even the wind. A lone figure wandered the endless land searching for life, but there was none. As tears fell down her face and hit the hard, scorched earth, a lush berry bush sprouted up.With every tear more plants grew. The mother of creation danced in celebration. Her steps shook and tore the earth apart revealing the waters hidden in its depths. And with a dance and tears, a new world began.

I really liked this one, compared to it’s sibling, Depths of Maziwa Makuu, the Myster of Gondwana is a fuller bodied taste, stronger coffee bean, and it’s creamy! We love it, and will keep on buying both of the Loba we have tasted so far!

Thanks again Johan for this review! Here we created a true Mocca Java blend. Many coffee blends get called Mocca Java, but only blends of Indonesian and Horn of Africa coffee (Yemen/Ethiopia) can truly qualify under the name. It’s no wonder why it has been a favourite of South Africans for years and we recreated it in this blend. Really happy you enjoy it!

Very good for the price …. not quite as smooth and bold as Giant of the Great Rift Valley but still very good

These beans have now became our favourite everyday drinking coffee. I grind about a weeks worth of coffee at a time and have 2 containers next to our coffee machine labelled, “The Good Stuff” and “The Serious Stuff”, in the latter I mostly keep some sort of Espresso beans. I now keep The Good Stuff container constantly filled with Mystery of Gondwana. Opening the lid and catching a whiff of a promise of an exotic chocolate never grows old.
